Because the one thing you can absolutely count on from those who would cheat is they are LAZY, else they d not be running cheats to begin with. However yes, it is a bother and the reason it's a bother is to mess up the cheat makers. Because most time its the same mods but most player cant seem to figure out how to rename a folder. You may not need to re-download the mods at all. and rename your old mods to the current version. Humm, ok, so go to your mods folder for world of warships. Having to reinstall all mods every patch is just absolutely unnecessary and a huge waste of time and resources. If an update does cause issues, you disable the offending mod(s) and then and only then do you have to wait for an update and only for that mod.
Other games that I play, and have played, all allow mods to remain in place, and if an update doesn't bork them, everything keeps working.
